The Mike Ocilka Spirit Award

The award is an annual honor presented to a LOP Partner who exemplifies exceptional dedication to serving the senior community and upholds the core values of the LOP organization.
 

Nomination criteria may include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrated volunteerism and community involvement
     

  • Promotion of LOP to new businesses or individuals within the community
     

  • Advocacy and support for the senior living industry, locally or nationally
     

  • Collaboration with and referral to fellow LOP Partners
     

  • Consistent embodiment of LOP’s mission to Serve, Educate, and Connect the senior community

Nominations are submitted by fellow LOP Partners, recognizing peers who go above and beyond in their commitment to improving the lives of seniors and their families.

The Doreen Putnam Compassion in Care Award

The Doreen Putnam Compassion in Care Award is presented annually to a LOP Partner who exemplifies the empathy, professionalism, and dedication that defined Doreen’s life and career.
 

This award honors Doreen’s unwavering commitment to dementia education, advocacy, and support for seniors and their families. It recognizes an individual that demonstrates exceptional compassion, promotes awareness and understanding of dementia, and upholds the core values of Life Options Pittsburgh — to Serve, Educate, and Connect.
 

Recipients of this award reflect Doreen’s enduring spirit of positivity, her passion for helping others, and her belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
